Reality is made up of the conflict of the undefined universe vs. our defined physical universe through the mental/mind. In other words, in a world where nothing exists what is is determined by what you believe. No two people live in a the same world.

Reality is a social construction. It's a well known answer given by the Sociology of Knowledge (See Bloor, Mannheim, Winch) and some branches of the Philosophy of Science (See Feyerabend, Hanson, Kuhn, Wittgenstein). Our understanding of what is reality doesn't come naturally, doesn't come from nowhere, it's rooted in a particular culture and society, and we learn it when we were children and in the school. We learn it when we learn how to act, how to talk, how to behave among the society.
This point of view it's far from the positivist view which claims that reality is a collection of facts that we discover and which give sense to our scientific language. So knowledge is a collection of propositions that depict the world, the reality. But, that's a strange idea, because it conflicts with the historical consideration of science. If there is only one reality, if the reality is something fix, how can we explain the scientific progress? If we adopt that way of thinking all the history of the science development is the history of the stupidity of men who couldn't see what we now see.
But if we adopt the sociological point of view which complains the history, then we can see that scientific change, scientific development is a social problem. Some culture, some people, holds and reaches some world image during a period, and that change like all the human things change.

events that happen in ones mind. visible or not, touchable or not it is what is around you and what you think it is. your opinion of what is about you in every day events.

it is debatable that reality has one set for. after all reality is what you make of the world and you will have a different opinion about it to that of a blind person.

take people that are color blind for instance. how do we know that they don't actually see the world as it really is? its only by our own opinion that makes us believe that what we know is reality
