OK I won't be a smart @ss like some people tend to be. I have a can of WD-40 in my hand, and right on the can is all the information one would ever need. You can either go to www.wd-40.com or contact the company in San Diego, Ca 92110 U.S.A. Ask for information on item No.10011.

WD/40 stands for Water Dispersant Formula 40. The first 39 formulas were not entirely succesful. The 'secret' ingredient is stodards solvent. The secret behind the solvent is fish oil.
