The biggest thrill I ever got from someone I fell in love with.....He was driving and placed his right hand on my left hand. His touch sent the most incredible feeling through my body and I think that is the moment I fell for him.

Big deal, not really, but depends on how it is done. I like to hold hands. "I wanna hold your hand." (Beatles).

Listen, If your holding hands with someone, your giving the other person an impression that you like them. Don't lead them on. Yes, it is a big deal

In this day and age, no. Holding hands isn't considered to be much at all nowadays. It's more like kissing and sex are big deals.

I think it's a sign of intimacy. If I hold hands with my daughter, or a boyfriend, the type of intimacy is different...but it's still intimacy.

If someone isn't ready to be that close, then it could be a big deal.

i actually think holding hands is a bigger deal than maybe kissing.
because, for one, it shows you not just out to "get some".
you might actually have affection for that person and youre not just in what happens that night.
also, holding hands IN PUBLIC is a big deal.
it shows that world that youre possibly taken and that you really do like that person.

but, then again, a friendly holding hands outside when its cold, isnt a big deal at all.
so, i guess, this answers going to vary.
just deal. :]

Yes, it's hard to explain why though. It's more of a bonding thing than physical.
