Well, not in the sense that things are tied together and the sting comes undone, no. In a tubal ligation, the fallopian tubes are cut. A small section of each tube is removed, and the cut ends are cauterized, or clipped with a tiny stainless steel staple. In rare cases, the cauterized ends can rejoin together, and it has happened. Usually the scarring that resulted from the procedure prevents pregnancy, but that has been documented as well. For all intents and purposes, tubal ligation is considered permanent sterilization. It's far more probably for a man to regain fertility after a vasectomy than a woman after tubal ligation. Even so, reversing the process requires surgery and is not easily done sucessfully on women. But either way, nothing comes untied, things grow back together.

Absolutely, but uncommon. After tubal ligation the tubes can grow back together and you can get pregnant.

Yes. That's one reason why they're now usually cut rather than tied.

In some cases they can be surgically undone...but they wont come undone them selves...its not like theyre literally just tied like a shoestring waiting to come undone
