In 1903, a skeleton of a man was discovered in the Cheddar Valley. This skeleton has been subject to considerable scientific investigation through the years. It was radiocarbon dated to 7150BC. DNA was extracted and compared to that of 20 modern-day local residents. No less than three matches were found. So we know that there's something of a stubborn streak in British culture. I would guess that they'll still be hanging on in 500 years, or 5000.

Of course not. There is no such animal as a pure bred Briton anyway; like every other country in the world we are the result of interbreeding. Viking , Roman, German, French and members of every one of the Old British Empire countries have seasoned the British bloodline. Irish, American, Chinese and Asians are all breeding with the Britons; and why not. Being a member of a master race is not a guarantee of being a good person or having decent values. The name Hitler, ring any bells?

There is no such thing as "ancient stock" as you mean it. Britain has had immigration on a regular and steady scale for the whole of it's history. A good thing too as with it we built the mightiest empire the world as ever known. Of course empires are old fashioned now but with continued immigration we will still prosper and progress.
