Days of the week: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday are cheapest - Friday & Saturday are the most expensive. (Many people go to Vegas for a weekend)

Times of the year: The two weeks before Christmas and pretty much any time of the summer. Skip January because of this huge electronics convention - any big convention jacks up the prices. Wait till after Superbowl weekend too. Skip any holiday weekends also.

Right after New Year's you can get a screaming deal - I'm booking a trip from January 2-3 and many of the big hotels are under $100 a night. Airfare is rock bottom, too!
