Rehearse in your head and in front of the mirror exactly what you want to say, so you don't stumble over your words. It will make you feel more confident when it's time to ask.

Since Christmas occurs on a Monday this year, and where most employers observe Christmas Eve as a holiday, I would assume, worse case basis, that you will be paid for the Christmas Eve holiday, have Monday off and return to work on Tuesday. The same schedule will be in effect the following (New Year's Eve) week.

Simply ask "What's my schedule for the next two weeks?". S/he can't be threatened by that request.

You shouldn't be nervous to ask ur boss anything. They might look scary but they're just regular people, but what you don't want to do is make him think the reason ur asking is cause you dont want to work... Tell him something like, do i have to come in for christmas cause i wouldnt mind put in the extra hours this week.. That way you look like the hard dedicated employee and not the lazy employees looking for days off...

No printed schedule? Just think of your intimidating boss as being naked there with a big gut hanging out and ask what your hours will be. Just don't laugh out loud at the nakedness
'cause he might double your hours. Best of luck.
