This isn't the time to get shy or worry about hurting his feelings. The longer you wait, the worse it will be for both of you. Sit down with him, and tell him that you really feel deep down that this isnt the best time for you, and that you may have rushed into your decision. You just have to be bold and tell him the truth, this is the rest of your life, we're talking about.. its a big deal, if you don't feel that its right, now, you're not going to feel its right, later, either. better to get out now, than end up in divorce....
Do it like a bandaid and get it over with.

Just tell him youve thought about it and are having second thoughts and want to call it off for now. If it doesnt work, then believe in really long engagements and sooner or later he will get the picture. Good luck and Merry Christmas

You must be honest and tell him you have changed your mind and do not want to marry him. What else is there to do, marry him and then divorce him. I would think if you told him yes, you should know him well enough to have a honest and open conversation. God bless****

Stop answering his calls/e-mails/etc. If he stalks you, file a restraining order. In other words, just cut off ties with him if at all possible. Or, just say "no" and walk away with your new life!
