What was your Favorite year in the 1990s. Mine would have to be 1995, just something about that year, my sister was still living at home, I was young, Father was doing great at Work, mother stayed at home, everyone was great, no worries about anything. The U.S. was different, the world was Different, bill Clinton was in office, great times. Oh how times have changed, but...I wonder how we will feel when we look back 10 years from now??

The 1990's were a crap decade.
It was the decade of Tory sleaze, rampant hedonism where a whole generation went off the rails shunting all responsibility and started taking drugs and binge drinking. It as also the greediest decade ever. The Premiership was dominated by Manure, Britain discovered that "sex sells" , Britain also discovered political correctness and the yob culture and celebrity culture we see today all originated from the 90's.
Plus the music charts were filled with manufactured boy bands or cheap tacky dance choons.

I think the 90s was great because i was at primary school during those years, and of course there were the Spice Girls who i loved at the time!!! i remember the hot summer of 1996, i never had to worry about life that much, oh how that changed when you grow up, im only 19 but its feels like a lifetime ago, i mean i was 9 in 1997, i dont know where the years have gone...
I remember the whole Brit cool scene, where you had the likes of Oasis, Blur and Pulp, the most poignant song for me of the 90s is Bittersweet symphony by the verve, brings back memories everytime!!
The millenium was also an era, its was amazing we had reached a new century, i remember me and my family celebrating, we all had a glass of Asti, mine was a small cup, i never really liked the taste! and we were in the living room, watching the LIVE COUNTDOWN!! it was amazing!!
When i was around 9, at school in assembly, Truly Madly deeply by Savage Garden would play as we walked in to sit down...still sounds amazing now, not forgetting Aqua Barbie Girl and the Macarena, boyzone, take that... i could go on...
I also remember how UK Garage music in 1999/2000 was off the chain, you had the likes of Craig David, Mc Neat, Oxide and Neutrino and B15 Project to name a few, i loved this phase, there were also songs like Tocas Miracle By Fragma which i really like and still do...and fancying my P.E teacher at school( i used to tell my mates he was minging, when really i thought phwoar) when i was 13, i thought i was all grown up then, was i heck? lol!!! I wonder what he looks like now? lol!! it was 6 years ago hahaha!!
Remember the 1997 Brit awards with All saints, Michael Jackson, Shola Ama, wow!!! All saints were amazing at that time, and when Jarvis Cocker did that whole wave the hand on my *** gesture at M Jackson, classic!!
Next year i will be 20 so i can look back almost 10 years on and things are insane right now, the world is just mad and what makes it worse is you dont know whats going to happen....

Definately the early ninties, E's and rave culture was awesome. I was a crustie then with green dreadlocks I loved the free festivals and the all nighters, people gave ashit about each other and tried to make things right, think the Poll tax riots and the fight against the Criminal Justice Bill. We took over the old post office in Ipswich and squatted it for 3 weeks hanging banners out of the windows and protesting about everything and anything.
Nowadays people just look out for themselves and try to make more money give them all acid I say!

I loved the 90's too. My teenage years, best ever!! I'd have to go for 1995 summer holidays, loads of friends to hang out with, such a good time! I love my life still, but when I look back it will be looking back on a working life... not as much fun as I used to have 20 years ago!! x

I loved the 1990s they were fantasic times, as a child growing up in the 90s, I loved those years, the time I spent with my cousins, the music, life didn't seem to bother us, a day lasted 100 years (or felt like it) I loved the 90s, its a shame they went, I look back on them now and think to myself "If only I could re-live one year in my childhood again". I'll miss those days, but look back on them with fond memories!

I liked 1999, I traveled to the east and west coast, and ended the year celebrating on Aspen mountain. It was a great way to say goodbye to the 1900's.
i miss Bill Clinton, too.
In all, the 90s were not bad at all. I went to HS and college during those years.

Definitely greater than the 1980s, not nearly as spaced as the 1970s, not as fab as the 1960s, nor as cool as the 1950s, and not as bleak as the 1940s.
And you're absolutely right -- Clinton had some truly great times in his office.

1992. I was listening to rave music, dancing in a Fila Puffa jacket outside of the Town Hall (when Mum and Dad thought I was at the Roller Disco), drinking Merrydown, smoking Embassy Red and generally thinking I was the dogs bollox
