HOW do you figure that president Bush turned his back on Katrina??? He sent in his homeland security!!!! He declared it a federal disaster area to get federal funding! What did you want him to move down to Lousianna until it was all cleaned up??? He has other issues to deal with not just Katrina!!!
Never in my life have I seen any other president bashed as much as President Bush! How do you know what information the president has about Michael Brown performance on the day which he told Michael he is doing a great job? The President it a very very busy man and has to have his cabinet keep him informed of all situations. So maybe when he found out what was what that's when Mr. Brown got the boot.
People with an Ivy League eduation are not stupid or dumb!!

Bush did not screw up it was local government.
Local government did not request any help until a couple days after Katrina hit until they did ask Bush could not do anything.
Its unfortunate but his hands were tied down by the way the government system works. As sad as Katrina disaster was I do not think it was a failure on Bush's part. This event was very and I mean very wide spread. Realief came as quickly as the government could provide it. do you really think that its possible to provide a bed and food for all those people over night? NO it is not. I would also like to ask where YOU when they needed help? If you were one of those Katrina victims I am sorry but if you are just someone who just is angry at bush for stuff that he couldn't have (nor anyone else for that matter) have done better.

Someone posted Bush "was a fighter pilot and went to yale. and is the leader of the free world". But he didn't show up to be a fighter pilot, he was a family legacy admission to Yale (you're a Bush and you get in, and you've seen his grades right?), and he hasn't done very well as leader of the free world. I don't even think Bush would claim that he is a superior intellect, would he???

What have your personally done to help the Katrina looters? Tell me why did people steal big screens when there was no electricity? Where is the responsibiliy of the Mayor of NO? Where is the responsibility of the Govenor of Louisianna? Where was the personal responsibility of the people to vacate? They chose to stay and the mayor and govenor did nothing!
