I think you're confusing the terms in here. "kb" stands for Kilobytes. a unit of information and computer storage. (a quantity)
"ps" stands for "per second" So "kbps" is kilobytes per second, thats another story: a speed basically.
If your question is how many kb are in 8 mb, then the answer is 8192. (1024kb = 1mb)

Ok the prefix Kilo- (k) is 1 x 10^3 or 1000. The prefix Mega- (M) is 1 x 10^6 pr 1,000,000. So you have 8Mb x 10^6kb/10^3 = 8000 kb. Basically every thousand kb = 1Mb=.01 Gb. Also notice that there are 8 bits/1 Byte.
Oops I didn't catch the kbps, lol. They're right, kbs is a rate not a quantity.

You need to re-ask the question. kbps is a rate. 8Mb is a quanity. your question is like asking how many miles per hour is it from houston to dallas? If you had asked how many kb(kilobits) are in 8Mb, the answer would be 8k.
M=kk therefore 8kkb/kb = 8k

If what you mean is how many kbs are in 8mb than its just math. There are 1024 kb in one Mb. So if you have 8Mb than you have 8192 Kb.
