Richard Pryor, hands down. Have you not see Harlem Nights? He also helped on the set of Blazing Saddles. You can almost feel his spirit when you watch it. I've never seen Sam Kinison but I find it hard to believe anyone could surpass Pryor. My favorites are Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, Tim Allen, George Carlan, and Eddie Murphy. They are some of the best of the older and deceased comedians. I almost pee my pants watching Eddie Murphy in Delirious. Some of the newer comedians that have great potential are Carlos Mencia, Tammy Pescatelli, and Gary Gullman.

DEFINITELY Pryor! Kinison yelled too much. Besides, Pryor is funnier than anyone, ever.

Comparing cookies to pickles.
Richard Pryor all the way. He opened to door to some of the best jokes ever. I miss him. I loved the way he showed the difference between a white man and a black man jumping over the snake in the path. Glad you did not compare him to Bill Cosby, though. I would have chosen Bill.

Neither one was funny, but Kinison was funniER. Pryor does not compare at all to Chapelle, and Kinison is just outrageous- there is a difference.
