I am thinking of getting one in the near future. Do you have any advice to give about them?

i have a ferret named Ferris. hes not hard to take care of. he is litter box trained for the most part. i just clean it out every day. i totally change and clean his cage once a week, keep him fed and watered .i let him out everyday to run around but for the most part he just sleeps. if you get one you must get him a hammock mine loves his. i got him a huge ball like you put a hamster in he dont like it has just pees in it so i dont recommend one of those. they can stink but mine likes to swim so he takes alot of bathes i hope this helps

I have a ferrett and they really aren't hard to take care of at all. They do require a special diet of ferrett food, but they can also eat any kind of dry cat food. They will go to the bathroom in a litter box and are very easy to train. They sleep 18-20 hours a day, so it's a good pet to have if you work alot and aren't home that much.

I have had ferrets for years and would someday love to get another. They are playful and funny and always getting into some kind of trouble when you let them run around. Ferret means "little thief" in latin; because they are always stealing things and hiding them. A large percentage of them, when they get older, seem to get afflicted with a hormonal disorder, that eventually will end their life. I lost 2 ferrets that way. I honestly don't know if, by now, there is any cure for it.

They are high maintanence. Very cute and playful, but you have to clean up after them non stop. If you just have one by itself it's not that hard.

They are crazy! They get into everything and anything. They are fun pets, but they do need lots of care & understanding.

OMG THEY STINK!
Yes they are cute but after the first day you start smelling them and it keeps getting stronger and stonger there is nothing to stop it either.

My daughter has two. They are really cute, play a lot, use a litter box....But BEWARE--they STINK. No matter how much you wash then, they have a horrid odor.....
