My mom's car won't start. We tried to Jump Start it but it would not work. Is there any recalls on that particular car? Is there a short in the ignition possibly? The same thing happened to my father. Please tell me how we can get it to start again.

yu dont say if it will crank, if not, get the battery charged and clean the battery posts, if it cranks check if the fuel pump is ticking, if not re-set the safety switch in the trunk :)

I work in a garage, there is no sure way of telling what the problem is without diagnosis. Have it towed to a garage, If you have to pay for the hour or so diagnosis, and then the repair, its still a lot less stressful then just throwing parts at it and hoping it fixes it, and a lot of the things that can be wrong with it are things where you need a large knowledge of the topic. All the manuals and diagrams you find on the internet are actually really useless aside from the basics. I sugest have it towed to a shop/dealer, and have them figure out the problem.

I am very surprised that a fairly new Honda Accord won't start. Anyways check the starter and the ignition but the best thing is to visit you local Honda dealer or a certified mechanic to diagnose the problem.

well if you dont get any sound when you turn you key it could be lose or bad connections to the battery try taking off the battery conections and cleaning them off with a metal brush and then tighten them on their good n snug. If that doesnt work then take the distributor caps off and spry some wd-40 on them sometimes moisure will get in their specially if you have had any rain.
