The neighberhood kids are prank calling my house, Yelling outside,makeing rude comments to mee to and to my kid. Please help becouse something has got to stop all this. Whatever happen about respect as a citizine?

i have the same problem, and i cant move because i just bought my house. so i called the cops and asked them what i should do, and they told me to get proof by getting them on tape. so i put security cameras around my house and when they figured out that i had them, it stopped. or you can take the chance and go over there and knock the **** out of them.

Well Julie: I don't know if this would compond the situation but, go to the county court house and file a complaint. If they send a unit out and talk to them maybe that would help. I'm assuming you've already tired to talk to the parents? maybe not? if not, do that first, be cordial, polite, don't lose it, or make threats.
Then do the previous. No show of force and if they show force leave, remember, your on their territory.
If all this doesn't work, you can file a complaint in civil court but you'll need an attorney and it's going to cost money. Some people in these cases found it easier to move. Sorry.

Can you talk to the parents? Show your child that what others say doesn't make it so. Teach him to rise above the petty trashy behavior these kids are showing. Take him to church and encourage him to make good friends. Eventually IT there is no reaction, these kids will stop because they are trying to get a rise from you. If you can ignore them they will get bored and quit. If you can't take it you can always call the police.

been here done this! u try and be a good citizin but hell that dont work anymore your kid has to defend herself! they say dont react like that but when u call the plice they say have they hit your child then when cant do anything about it and if your child hits them or even gets in a fight here they both get tickets so best defense is standing up for yourselfs!

If they are prank calling, contact your phone company and let them know you are being harrassed. They should then give you a contact to let you know how to report the calls. Given evidence, you can get the police involved. For that matter, you can always do a reverse call (what is it, *69?) after the prank call, to let them know that you know who they are. You can also get caller ID and just not answer calls that you don't recognize.
Oh, and maybe get a video camera. Videotape the harrassment and then let them know you've got it. Evidence, evidence, evidence...
