Try different types of cups. My daughter really likes the Nuby ones that have the silicone tops like her bottle does. Perhaps try only giving things such as juice or something they really like in a cup and not a bottle. Have you tried giving them watered down drinks in a bottle? Such water and very little juice or water so that it's nasty and he would rather drink from the cup. Once you get off formula you could try that steadily increase the amount of water youre putting in the milk or whatever it is. Hope it helps. I also put those colored balls in it. you could use just ice chips kind of like a rattle and maybe he would drink them when they melted.

If he is crying, then you are forcing and he is not ready yet.
Just try slowly by setting it on the table with one meal a day. Show him how, but don't force him. Let him discover it on his own.
Also, when you are going out and pack him something to drink, don't pack the bottle, bring the sippy cup. He may get thristy enough to try it if there is no alternative.

Try the Nuby brand sippy cups. The mouth piece is soft like the nipple on bottles.

I tried lots of different sippys. My daughter really liked the Nuby sippys that have a soft nipple like spout. She also likes the Playtex sippies. The ones with the soft spout. It isn't as soft as a nipple like on her bottles but it's softer than the plastic ones.
Good Luck! :)

The way that worked best for me with all three kids was to put only water in the bottle and everything else in the cups. They went for the cups every time.
Good luck!

My daughter was the same way and the doctor told me to dilute the drinks in the bottle and give her the drinks normal in the cup. They start to associate the bad taste with the bottle.
