No, probably not. Have to do a lot of driving for my work so it's good to get out the car at times. Though I'd love the savings and would get a real chuckle from all the whiny dribble the squirrel-molester's brigade would come out with if that happened!!

I'm quite surprised by all the NO answers

I'd definitely drive a lot more, and I'd buy a faster car that used more petrol.

I live in quite a rural area with some fantastic driving roads, so going for a drive is a pleasure. Cheap petrol would make that even more enjoyable.

No I wouldn't! I only drive because I have to for work. After a week of driving days off are spent doing as little of it as possible! I remember when it was 50p and I still didn't drive more than I had to then!

Not really no, i mainly use my car to get to work and back, and the odd shopping trip, the cost isn't really a limiting factor so cheaper petrol wouldn't make me drive more. I drive when i have to, driving for fun isn't an option anymore, the track's always blocked with dawdlers and a lot of the decent roads either have bloody speed cameras or some plod hiding waiting to catch you.

If petrol was that price diesel would be about the same.

Which means food and other stuff would be cheaper so that would be a step in the right direction to get this country up and running again...

In answer to your question yes but i wouldn't make a special point of doing so.

You also have to consider that if it were, everyone would buy more and use it more quickly/needlessly, which means we will use up all our oil reserves more quickly, cause a greater amount of pollution in a given time, taxes will have to be made on something else to compensate (such as higher taxes on health care etc) and most importantly...there will be MORE traffic! lol

No, but I'd buy a car with a large capacity V8 engine.

Probably not, but I would save up money to buy a newer car, which is would probably be more fuel efficient.

i would drive my pickup truck more, and drive faster, and go four-wheeling more often, and not complain as much if my girlfriend wanted a ride somewhere
