remembering the Christmases gone by. as time goes by photographs can be lost, people change or die, but ones memories are always there. hopefully someone will remember how many good Christmases there were and pass some of these family stories on.

best part of Christmas for me is every Christmas eve. me and all my friends get together in the morning go up London do a bit of last minute shopping go to a few pubs and just spend the day together as we don't get the chance really the next day. it show that true friends will always make time for each other. no matter what we do for the rest of the year that day we always have spent together

i love leaving the mince pie for santa and a carrott / root vegetable for the reindeer. I have always done it, even as a grown up before i had kids. can't say why really, just that it stuck in my mind from being a kid on christmas eve.

Putting the gurt virgin in the tree and wassailing err, with zider.
Its pagan, so has nothing to do with religious nuts
Is done with lots of scrumpy, so I enjoy myself
I get to make lots of noise and upset the yuppies who moved into the village
Its not commercial
It gets me out of watching some rubbish on the telly for a night.

Pulling crackers at the dinner table then reading out the old cheesy jokes from inside, wearing the cheap party hats that rip the minute you put them on.

When I was younger, it was opening only one present on Xmas Eve after getting back from Midnight Mass. We don't do it anymore as I am now patient enough to wait until Xmas Day.

This is the first year I have given out presents and everyone loved them because I took FOREVER to pick them out for each person! That was pretty fun....this year it's all about the giving
