Yes, I think that it is possible if you are willing to buy used appliances. Check your local paper, or some of the newspapers near your area. In the classifieds section, you will find household appliances for sale. Usually they work fine. They might not match perfectly, but they will do the job. Plus, you will probably have money left over. Otherwise, you can get a fridge for about 400.00 at home depot, and a washer and dryer for about 200, 300 but you will be getting the cheapo stuff.

You should look on Craigslist.com for your area, and buy used, or if you don't have the cash on hand go to a local rent-a-center, or somewhere similar. Also many places offer no interest no payments untill 2008, so finance them now, and save some money. Also you could put an ad in your local paper for appliances wanted, and see what happens.

The best buys are with a furnished house. I have heard about some of those buyer direct places. Perhaps they could give you a good deal. But otherwise it is impossible to get four appliances for $1000.

If you want 4 appliances for $1000. buy USED. Even if you bought the bottom of the line products (and not recommended) you will still pay more than $1000.
