I have been watching this as an alternative to the mainstream US nightly news. What do you think of the reporting? Unbiased or not? Is there a better alternative?

I actually dislike the BBC more than I already detest CNN and Reuters. If you want politically correct news that does not tackle any of the real issues, watch the BBC.

In general, all mainstream mass media productions are the same, they 99% of the stories they report are stupid (like boy who gets trapped in vending machine) and written by PC liberals who sympathize with terrorists and islamic extremists, in addition to painting the rest of the non-islamic world as aggressors. The BBC always speaks of "discrimination" against Asian Muslims and Muslims in general in western countries. But in all the years I've watched the BBC, they have never once reported on the Christian and non-Muslim minorities who are gunned down for not believing in the same god as the majority. Moreover, they never report that half of all racially motivated murder victims are white in the UK.

Here is an example of BBC biasness,
Right after the 7/7 bombings, the BBC asked British islamic extremists to come on the air to "try to justify the terrorist acts." you think that because they alotted time for one extreme side, they would facilitate the other end of the spectrum, the far right. but no, they pick and choose which sides they want to represent and make visible.

The BBC actually sends reporters to investigate news stories. The american media is far too ready to accept the last press release received without question.

This is a good question. I love BBC because they tell it the way it is and tell on the US on different issues. Blessings
