Takes Libya off US sanctions, supports UN lifting sanctions and takes them off the State dept list for Terrorism?....WHY?

So they "said" they would no longer pursue WMD.....but does that in any way mean they're not still terrorists?.....What about Lockerbie?

Part of the deal in the settlement re: Lockerbie was that they would get the money ONLY if US would drop sanctions,UN drop it's sanctions and they were removed from the State Dept list.

All were done.....isn't that "negotiating"?

sounds like its a "pick and choose" kind of thing with Bush. Andy g calls it diplomacy. Wouldn't talking to Iran and Syria also be considered diplomacy?? or is that back to picking and choosing....

Well, this another "Bush's Fault" question. I see it as diplomacy. Something the democrats constantly rant about daily. How about lifting sanctions with Cuba. That would be OK, but not with Syria. You would know and Blame and cry is all I here from you Truth seeker is an oxymoron coming from a lib. (no email) Lack debate skill or fear of the truth?

Libya's leader, Khadafi, has gotten has act together and has returned to the fold of responsible leaders. He felt it NOT in his country's best interest to continue status as a terrorist state. In turn, he has been accepted by the U.S.

This is one political victory that gets unnoticed in the press because it doesn't support the press conspiracy to undermine the Bush Administration. I don't keep track of sanctions.

I'll take my thumbs down now.

Regarding Bush's "Negotiating" -- Always remember the famous Bush flub...or freudian slip...

"The enemies are our friends"....

And remember when Bush was holding hands with the Arab prince?

While Bush is half listening through the constant babble of his handlers, he can't distinguish what is for public consumption and what's really a secret).

For the Neoconservative fascists-- anyone near Oil has the potential for deep and abiding friendship, behind closed doors.

Go see Syriana if you haven't already seen it. Everything will be clearer on this board.

Nice Ars! He did not negotiate with Libya. They paid their debt and area doing a little community service at this time. No negotiating took place.

Like any well trained lap dog, Bush will do what he is told to do. Being in debt to the neocon machine is not easy.
