We are not necessarily what we judge in others.
I find in a general way it is much easier to see faults with other people than it is yourself -- because while we all (except very very arrogant people!) realize the fact that there lies faults within all of us, identifying them is much easier from someone else's point of view.
Yet, naturally, the criteria that we use to judge others in, we also try to judge ourselves with -- which means that in a way we are what we judge in others.
I think the viewpoint that 'i dont want others to judge me so I wont judge others' is a very weak and terrible idea, simply because it is your reason limiting your mind -- we all naturally pass judgement on people all the time, consciously and unconsciously and to varying degrees. Maybe, even further, the concept of not wanting to judge others stems from a deep lying fear of others judging you, or even you judging yourself.
I think it is natural to judge people with an open mind, and constructive criticism of friends or familly for example has to start by some kind of judgement, and while it can be very harsh to be judged sometimes it is necessary.

You only judge others by covering up the flaws inside yourself. We all hate ourselves, which is why we all judge everyone else. This is okay because without hating ourselves we would never change and move forward. After all, it is okay to judge people as long as it is not against the other person. Thus, the way we judge others is ultimately judging ourselves. We are all just a little to harsh on ourselves sometimes.

Judging others is a natural tendency but we must not be quick to judge but rather condemn or praise only the act which has been committed. Judge the SIN and not the SINNER. I'd leave judging others to SOMEONE else.
What you see in others could be a reflection of what you feel deep down inside. A judgment of praise or condemnation could be a feeling of self-righteousness or genuine remorse. Either way, it reflects you and your feelings about that particular issue, and you in effect judge yourself as well. Keep in mind that we all have a "sinful" nature. :-)
Yes, we do have to make a stand but remember to keep that stand focused on the act not on the person who committed the act, and keep in your heart.

One of the best Q's I've ever seen here. Thank you.
You are pretty astute, smiles.
Would it not seem reasonable to assume that NO man should strictly JUDGE another?, and I have to believe we do so, in denying our own faults and shortcomings, but seeing them in others, as if releced, as they are "US" in some ways. Those we judge do the same by the way.
I hope you find resolution in one of these answers.

No, I do not judge others. It's not my place and no one is perfect.

What we don't like and accept about ourselves we condemn in others. Likewise, what we don't like or accept as our own 'good' points, we see as virtues in others.
The theory underpinning this is that there is only one of us.
Everything and everyone in the entire universe is one entity, so by that token, whatever we condemn or praise in another, we are condemning or praising in ourselves.

We all are to varying degrees, we just won't admit it to ourselves - therein lies the sub-conscience reason for our dislike of the attribute.
