why don't you turn off the computer and take it out yourself?

If he is your husband, then you are his wife. Do you know the real meaning of being a wife? Being a wife means being a helper to your husband. That is what you were created for. It is your duty to help him. He is not made to help you. So, follow the 1st person's advice: get off the computer and take out the trash yourself!

Set a good example and maybe he will catch on. It's not necessarily the husband's job anyway. I cook, clean, vacuum, do laundry, and do dishes at my house, but the wife has never caught on........Some people just don't want to do housework......Most husbands don't want to be told to take out the trash.

in some respects, treat him like a dog...
when your training a dog, and the dog does as you want, then you treat the dog
when the dog is disobedient, then you scold or punish the dog...
dont cut him off as punishment, but try the positive approach..next time he does take out the trash, dont speak a word, good or bad...just quickly prepare yourself, give him a blow and swallow...when youre finished, then say thanks baby for taking out the trash...walk away and return to whatever it is that you were doing...
i'll venture to say that your trash will not build up any more...and he'll be expecting the same treat...just like a dog

Set the trash bag next to the door when you know he'll be the next one to go through it, such as when he'll leave for work in the morning. Do this every time for a while.
He'll get the hint.

Interesting question, I'd just keep on filling it up until it was over-filling!! If he had some sense, then he may feel it's time to empty the bin ;)
.....or just offer him beer and the opportunity to watch the football on a Sunday WITHOUT being nagged to help with the house work! Then he may be tempted to empty the bin unprompted. :)

I have found that the best way to get someone to do this is to put the trash where they normally sit or sleep. It works every time.

Had this problem...let the crap pile up. Stand strong no matter what the mess and how horrible the smell trust me this will work.

Well dont take it out i guess . and keep piling up teh bags till he feels he's living in deep sh*t... maybe then he will realise that he should do something about it .. maybe take it out :)
