Someone said earlier that he was a successful Texas businessman. Beware, that. He got rich when, as a member of the audit committee, he dumped his Harkin stock just before it was about to tank and was eight months late in filing documents with the Securities and Exchange Commissions. But I guess some people would call that successful.
And someone else said he did good when he retaliated after 9/11. Well, that isn't the whole story. After the USS Cole, Clinton decided to destroy Osama and al Qaeda. He got Richard Clarke to produce a strategy paper on how this could be done and since the paper was completed just a couple of weeks before Bush's inagauration, he left it for Bush to carry out. But Bush decided vacations was more important and Rice and Rumsfield ignored all attempts Richard made to get them to read the strategy even though they knew a terrorist attack was about to happen. So, if Bush and his people had implemented Clarke's plan there is a very good chance 9/11 wouldn't have happened at all and al Qaeda would be destroyed by now.
Good luck in the research. I would be interested to know if anyone comes up with anything legitimate.

Bush '41, aka George Herbert Walker Bush? OR his son, George Bush '43?
Bush '43 had a long and distinguished career before becoming President. He graduated from Yale with a BS, and then an MBA, actually getting higher grades than classmate John Kerry.
He was certified as a fighter pilot in the Texas Air National Guard.
He became a successful businessman, and owned the Texas Rangers baseball team for a while.
Be defeated an "unbeatable" Ma Richards to become Governor of Texas.
As President, he has overseen a long period of economic growth in spite of the Dot-Com stock crash, 9-11 and the Iraqi and Afghanistan wars.

GWB has been very "Positive" in creating massive wealth for :
The Bush Family Business Empire.
Washington Engineering Inc.
Halliburton Inc
Bechtel Inc
Austin Engineering Inc (Texas)
ARCO International
Carlyle Group
The Binladen Family
The Al Saud Family.
GE
And many, many more
How can you say he has not done positive things.
The fact it was all for his friends and family does not mean they were not positive - but NOT positive for GOOD.

He lowered taxes resulting in a great economy despite inheriting an economic decline and everything else which has happened.
He got two Supreme Court justices through that hopefully will get a handle on judicial activism.
He kept Al(global warming) Gore and John(flip flop) Kerry from being President.
He has had the guts to stand up to terrorist despite the best efforts of the left to protect the rights of these criminals at all cost.

He said something against human trafficking. THAT'S IT.
Beyond that, he's drained our treasury (U.S.), he's ruined whatever decent image we used to have in the eyes of the world. He's let the religious (Christian) fanatics gain power in an assault on science.
I HATE HATE HATE what he's done.
But, he did say human trafficking was wrong.
Whoop-ti-doo.

He heard the last confession of the "London Whale". He saved some kittens from a tree. He turned water into wine.....Oh, wait, THAT was someone else. He opened the 2004 Olympics. He started a commune for Middle Earth people.
Man, the list is endless.
______
I see there is a humour failure again on this thing! I personally think the site of Monkeyman listening to poor London Whale as he speaks his last breath is hilarious.
