the problem started about 3 month ago where i will be driving down the road and all the sudden the battery gauge needle will start bouncing up and down then the car just shuts down and usually takes 30 minutes to an hour to get the car started again, then about 10 to 15 minutes after i finally get going again it do does the same thing all over again.

3 months ago? you need to get it to a shop to have a full electrical analyzed before it catches fire. but it sounds like the computer is about to die.

Sounds like a wire making bad connection or shorting.. Check your battery terminals for tight connections Check carefully, look for bare wires, the wires going to the primary side of your coil. This will be the small wires. Follow the positive wire and check to see if it is rubbing on any metal part of the engine. The other small wire goes to ground, make sure it is securely connected on both ends.
