No. They have used the Euro as long as the Euro has been around; but that is not that long. They used Deutsch marks.

German currency were Reign Marks(spelling?) prior to the coming of the Euro.

When I was in German back in 1985-89 they called them Deutsche Mark's

There is no "crisis", there's fractional reserve banking, a ponzi-scheme that was bound to collapse. As long as there's no other way of creating money, economic growth=deeper in debt and "no deeper in debt"= economic shrink
