I am totally new to Halo 2 I haven't played it ever and have recently started playing. I loved 007 for Nintendo so I guess I had "some" experience with first person shooters. But now I cannot seem to figure out how to dodge that sword attack, people have just run rampages on me with it and when I try I notice I go flying as if they side stepped it with ease. Anyways, if anyone on here plays on Xbox Live and knows the answer to this help me out please.

Crouching may help save you for a few seconds if you can crouch after their reticle turns red (which you have no way of knowing when thet happens). It's best to avoid, rocket, or sticky a sword wielder. If you time it right, a shotgun can stop a lunging sword wielder as well.

There really is no way of dodging the energy sword but there is a way of using the energy sword. Make sure the is in front of you and they are not moving sideways when you attack. There's a way to sidestep but it doesn't work all the time. The best thing to do to avoid being killed by the sword is to make sure the sword is held by one of your teammates. If you are pitted against an enemy holding the sword, try to stick them with a plasma grenade like one of the above said. That way, if they kill you, they'll die when the grenade blows up and you'll therefore end their sword reign.

Keep moving and hope that they move their control stick over to the left or right too much. try moving around. Good Luck. (its extreamly hard to dodge, and lots of luck, if they mess up) You will need tons of luck and skill inorder to dogde, I have missed by what i discribed. I wish i had both to be able to dodge.
Like the others said its basicaly imposible.

in case you get in a sword combat charge up with R set off then direct mail B and melee the crap out of the guy and he will immediately die. i like merely immediately charging the factors or turning jointly as meleeing

sorry but you can't the only way I can think of is if you stick one of them and hope you kill em' before him or her get to you in story mode i know that if you stick and elite than they will stop in there tracks and shake there head...ok vote me for best answer!!! :-)
