In the uk

Saturday 16th Dec – last posting day for Second Class letters in UK
Tuesday 19th Dec – last posting day for First Class letters in UK
Thursday 21st Dec – last posting day for Special Delivery mail in UK

however, first class post is so slow, it technically had its last day about 15 years ago, lets face it, concord was too slow for transalantic post, it was replaced by the the internet, try sending an e-card, its much more environementally viable.
