Let's face it -- you live in a dream world...
The U.S.' imports are equivalent to about 15% of the U.S. GDP, imports, approximately 10%. So your point about "the countries selling us most of what we buy" is simply wrong; most (about 85%, to be precise) of what you buy is still made in the good old U.S. of A.
The largest trading partner of the U.S., in spite of the recent rise of China, is still (surprise, surprise!!!)... Canada (you didn't know this, did you?) And the source of Canadian competitive advantage is very simple: Canada has a (mush less expensive) single-payer health care system, so instead of providing expensive health care benefits, employers pay an additional payroll tax, which costs them about half of what health benefits cost in the U.S.
Also, there is no such thing as "globalization at a point of no return". If you read "The Economic Consequences of the Peace" by J.M. Keynes, you will learn that sentiments similar to yours ruled in Europe about 1900. Globalization between 1880 and 1910 was in many respects more profound compared to the one we see today (in particular, international movement of labor was much more extensive than today).

Why do you're saying that China receives hatred from us. i don't recognize each person that hates China. That we owe China a lot funds is a difficulty for us if China desirous to promote all the bonds right away. i do not imagine China will attempt this because it may reason them a large number of worry besides as us. the vast difficulty is that we owe a lot funds to a rustic that isn't a shown best buddy to us and has been doing somewhat issues which aren't any further helpful. The issues which aren't any further helpful are; invading and occupying Tibet and their plan to annex Taiwan. Their declare that those were their territories and nevertheless belong to them is irrelavent. Tibet develop into an self sufficient usa and Taiwan is an indepent usa it extremely is an best buddy of ours. None of that motives me to have any detrimental thoughts for the chinese language human beings. i don't like that the chinese language authorities opresses the chinese language human beings, i recognize the chinese language human beings.

Now more than ever U.S. workers need to get organized into labor unions.
Even if the economy is shifting form an industrial manufacturing based economy, to a service based economy. Service workers, white collar workers, and all other workers, in the U.S. need to fight there common enemy. that common enemy is the huge corporations that are driving down our wages, jacking up our health care costs and taking away our pensions.
If you live in the U.S. and have ever visited a third world, country where workers barley make ends meet and poverty is rampant, this is what the corporations in the U.S. are trying to implement here in the U.S.. the only way to fight back is through massive, independent activism, labor unions.

America has been sold off to the lowest bidder and we're all paying the price in numerous ways, not the least of which are joblessness, low quality output, and complete gutting of the US economy and braintrust.
There is no longer an incentive to innovate because some globalist company will just steal the idea and either exploit or subvert it. The days of corporate good stewardship and invention for the greater good are long gone.
Globalism may seem like a warm and fuzzy good idea, but it is actually resulting in the wholesale destruction of the world's economies and cultures only to benefit the rich elites in power.

Whoa! Chicken Little. you mean to tell me that you aren't going to do all that you can to support yourself and your family? you can't stand the idea of learning a new skill even when you sleep well at night? trust me its not the economy...its a lot easier to get ahead when its good then to get enough when its tough. So why don't you stop worring about everybody else and get yours? If we all did that we would have nothing to worry about, capeche?
