Temperatures can dip to very low levels, resulting in frostbite of any body part exposed to the air.
Because temperatures are so low, snow is well-frozen in certain areas and death by slipping and falling can also occur.
The atmospheric pressure at the top of Everest is about a third of sea level pressure, meaning there is about a third as much oxygen available to breathe as at sea level.

i think 'extreme environment' is a pretty relative thing, its depends on the organism under consideration and the environment which will be disadvantageous to such an organism.. e.g. if you take a bacterium which lives in hot springs, a harsh environment for it will the polar caps, on the other hand, if you consider tha polar bear, the opposite will be true. i would say that Everest is an extreme environment, but for only some organism, if you are thinking of humans, then it definitely is an extreme environment because humans can barely live there.

Are you thinking entering into the corporation? i discover it ordinary which you does not be responsive to who the primary gamers are in the mountaineering outfitting marketplace or what the wholesale/retail shape is that in case you're making plans a challenge into it. you could follow a field which you be responsive to greater approximately. maximum distributors at the instant are not likely to easily sell randomly to any bloke who tries to reserve in bulk. without a great corporation plan, reserves of money and evidence which you would be serving a marketplace no longer already lined by their primary distributors, they'll snicker you out the door. looks such as you desire a while in corporation college or a minimum of working for an clothing save earlier you attempt this.

-only about one third of the oxygen is available compared to the sea level oxgen availblty.
-low atomoshpere presssure on your brian which will make you fell sick (swelling) eg High Altitude Cerebral Edema (in short HACE).
-heavy frost bites to any naked skin.
-impossible to climb in the winter times.
-i dont think there is any thing thats living in that high altitude
-above 16000 feet is the so called 'death zone', no one can survive up there for more than 3 days without supplymental oxygen.
-even the best of weathers will chellenge the most pro climbers.
-there is no way of climbing the mountian without decending and ascending dozens of times (no one can climb it first go, adaptation to the atomspheric pressure is hightlly nessasary).
-craves often as wide as 10s to 100s and above meters.
- very very very very cold.
-high speed winds above 60 km per hour in bad weather.

see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_everest
Extremely cold, bodies left there from the first climbers are still there, in excellent condition
Extremely high, must carry your own oxygen to the top
Extremely windy, tents and equipment have to be staked and tied down
Extremely steep, need to tie yourself down to sleep near the top.

Yes it is, because the altitude is so high and there is so little air. It is hard to breathe and it is very cold.
