If you can afford it then yes it is very much worth getting.
The clarity of picture is unbelievable the detail of the entire picture/screen if crystal clear.
Yes we know there are only about 12 channels on Sky but it is early days and the future is HD (until the next invention), so jump on the band wagon and go along for the ride.

I don't think so, not at the moment anyway because the only HD channels are documentary channels and some other random ones. I would wait until Sky HD included all the channels before getting it.

Im on sky+ and wont go on hd till the price drops and alsotill the equipment gets more reliable.
It will be worth holding tight for the minute IMO

Yes and no
At the moment there are not enough HD programs for your money, only previews and repeats. However the whole HD service is great.

So I would say wait about a year and it should be a great christmas present for yourself in 2007.

P.S. I would also consider NTL Telewest's package.

No it is a pile of old shite, another way for sky to get your cash, the SKY HD box is full of bugs, I am on my 8th box.

depends on what package you have, sport is excellent in HD(2 channels) BBCHD is very good(robin hood,torchwood etc) also 4 movie channels and documentery channels, about 13 channels to date

you'll basically see a chance benefit, once you've a huge reveal television. that is such as taking digital image's; 10 mega pixels + is basically functional for more beneficial large prints. in my opinion, i will, and could bide my time in getting it.
