Ok i'm 20years, and my partner and i have been thinking about children for a while now, anyway i calculated when i was ovalulating this month, and the from the day i was ovalulating we tried and have been trying since that day,my period is due tomorrow and i have all the symtoms of when a period due, but as yet have not come on. i have no real symtoms of conceiving other than my breasts are slightly sore. Does this mean i haven't concieved this month and if so is this possible? and what can i do?

1. Do a pregnancy test.

2. Relax! The body has a way of not wanting to procreate in hostile environments.

3. 20 seems a bit young. What's the rush?

It really usually take smuch longer than trying for a month to get pregnant - it can take up to 2 years ; you only need to start worrying then. Just have sex 3/4 times a week and it will happen naturally without mithering about ovulation.

Even with everything working right for both of you and having sex at the right time, there is still only around a 25% chance of you getting pregnant in any one month.
If you aren't pregnant this month, just keep trying for a while. It doesn't mean that anything is wrong.

You will get those symptoms even if you ARE pregnant. But if you're not, please take advice from someone more than twice your age. Get married!!! I belong to several single parent groups - and they nearly all had a "partner" rather than a husband. Cement and invest in your relationship as a solid base for parenthood - save up and get a home, marriage and pennies in the bank. That way you will be good and ready for parenthood - you are so young that you have plenty of time - use it wisely to give your child a good start in life. You really dont want to be six months down the line and posting a question that says "I'm six months pregnant and my "partner" has changed his mind - what shall I do?"

First relax, to much stress will hurt your chances in conceiving. You have to let nature take it's coarse. Most importantly you have to wait until your missed period to take a test. the signs of being pregnant are the symptoms of PMS so it is not easy to tell if you have or not. Good luck

i know this sounds horrid but when i could not get pregnant a few years ago someone told me to have sex every other day then lie on by back after with my legs in the air and put a tampax in and stay like that for 10 mins. i must admit i did try it twice but it worked and i had a 9lb 7oz baby, and iam pregnant again.
good luck x

give it time. It took a year for me to become pregnant. Now I am due in July! Sore breasts are one of the first signs of pregancy, dont worry about it yet, just have fun trying!

It may be worth visiting your doctor or family planning clinic for extra help if you feel you need to!

I had the same problem...and how I finally got pregnant was by using one of those ovulation predictor kits; they are not that exspensive, the girl just pees on the stick and it comes up positive if she will ovulate within the next couple of days. the calendar thing doesnt always work; turns out i was a late ovulator.

you can do a test today if you cant wait. but it does take most fertile couples up to a year to concieve. and as every woman is different you may ovulate at different times so i'd reccomend buying a digital ovulation kit to help. good luck!

we had to keep trying for a year now i have a 2 year old and 8 month old twins just keep trying, you could also try standing upside down for 20 minutes after sex if nothing else it gives your partner a good laugh.
