College Board and Princeton Review are both good websites. Also, check out US News & World Report's College Rankings, online...though there's a subscription fee. And I'd suggest that you buy or visit a library (school, local) to look at the Fiske Guide to Colleges. VERY helpful for getting real insights about 300+ colleges.

Princeton Review is a college preparation program that has a great website with the information you seek: http://www.princetonreview.com/college/

The website includes profiles on colleges, lists the top colleges in a number of categories, and has "Counselor-O-Matic," which is a webpage that asks you a lot of questions to determine the best colleges for you.

Congratulations on seeking a college degree!

Besides the individual school websites, you can go to US News and Rankings and research colleges. (Search this on yahoo) But you can also go to Education under yahoo.com's page and pick and choose colleges for comparison. Also, I found it quite useful to go to Barnes and Nobles to read books on colleges. Fiske's guide to colleges is a great book.
