After the brawl with the NY Knicks, what is Melo's status for MVP. Aslo his team. David Stern stated he probably will have a long probation. My opinion is that Melo just ruined his chances for MVP and also his teams chances to make the playoffs. I like Melo's game, but he made a stupid decision to punch that guy and get involved.

I know. I read this article saying that Melo himself said he will mature, but he looks like a 12-year old getting into fights and problems all the time.

Stern should give him 20 games at least. He probably won't, but he should.
Things had calmed down before Anthony threw his sucker punch. That just ignited things again. Since he's a star player, I'd make an example of him.
If Stern is lenient on him, Anthony could still win MVP, but he won't win it if he misses too many games with a suspension. (I haven't heard any offical word on the suspension yet, so I don't know how long Anthony will be out).
Besides, the MVP is Lebron James' to win or lose this year, no matter what Anthony does.

Yes it was very dumb of him to give that cheap shot, but I doubt the voters will be thinking about that at the end of the season when its time to vote for MVP.

He is still a MVP candidate but he will be suspended and fined but he can also come back strong

How do you call the league points leader overrated??? Everybody screws up every now and then......I'm not holding anthing against carmelo.....he wasn't the only one involved.....everybody is talking sh*t about him and he wasn't the fool who started everything.....the knicks are just mad cuz they SUCK!
