I too was 18 and was making great money, I spent my money on everything I wanted. Here is my advice, Save a lot of your money, save it for the day that you have 3 kids in school they need new clothes, (cool clothes, expensive clothes) they need they want and then they need and want more. Then your car breaks down needs a part that costs 300 bucks alone (not including labor) and your mortgage payment is due, phone bill, busing fee for school, lunch money is due for all 3 kids and your job cuts hours because the orders just aren't there, oh and the kids still need to eat at home too. I would talk to a good financial adviser if I were you, get a savings, IRA, or 401K, Then what money is left over, spend it on whatever you want, new car, new TV, have a great time on your vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are making a good income for your age. If you want to be smart you will invest that money. I would try and put 10% in an interest baring account, maybe a CD or a 401K. By saving your money so early in life you could be a millionaire by the time you are 28!!

its never too early to think about your future and save some thing.so, do so.but life is not saving all u hve for a day in the distant future u think "i'll save all of this n have a grand ball in that day". it will only make u a slave of ur own greed. u r 18! what on earth u c'nt do. spend some quality time, travel, see things.. every day in our life is so valuable n live ur life to the max. BUT dont be stupid n waste ur self in nudies n other things which will only get u to the hell. u r lucky coz most teens do not get this kind of luck.

Don't be a sheep and waste it on consumerables just because you can.

Be a little savvy, save as much as possible and in a few years time you will have enough money to buy a car or rent a posh flat.

Learn about stocks and shares and invest it.

Save it! You never know when you might get hurt at work or lose your job for any reason. In todays world if you want to retire and live comfortably, You need to have at least 80,000 saved (or vested) by the age of 30. Crazy huh?

Me and my family :) Treat us to a good xmas. So instead of buying a £1000 suit, think of all the happiness my family of 5 would have. I have worked all my life, had to give it up to care for my partner, who has nerve damage in her left side, but not enough to qualify for disability and carers allowance. Stuck between a rock and a hard place at the moment.

you don't have to spend it..................

3 ideas:
1) Buy things you want or need - don't buy for the sake of it
2) Save money - you never know when your income may change
3) Help the poorer people of this world who are less fortunate than yourself. This should be number 1) really!
