NO!!! A dry Christmas tree is a fire hazard.Buy a nice green Christmas tree,and keep water in the stand to keep it from drying out.

of course not, it is a fire hazard to start with and it will look like crap by the time Christmas comes around. Even at best these trees have been cut for weeks, so pick one that remotely looks fresh.

Yes, but ONLY if it's an artificial Christmas tree.
Indoors, real trees that are dried out are a HUGE fire hazard waiting to happen. It's be best if you just saved it for the firepit.

Try cutting approximately 1 inch off the bottom of the tree then hammer a nail into the bottom (remove the nail). This might open up the pores of the tree so it might start drinking water again.
