Especially since the main charge they alleged -- that he was planning do detonate a dirty bomb -- as the basis for stripping him of his constitutional rights had to be dropped because they had no real evidence to establish it.

All these questions are useless, I believe. I think the only question really is how we can come together as a nation and fix the problems that need fixing. So let's commit ourself to that and leave the partisanship aside. We have the knowhow to create a true heaven on earth, we should employ it to that task.

I am very disturbed. None of us are safe as long as there is no recourse to the law. If this guy has broken the law, try him and lock him up. If not, let him go. He has been named an "enemy combatant" without any evidence. What is to stop the government from doing the same to any of us? As far as him being a terrorist. Why is he a terrorist? Because our government says so? The same government that said there was a partnership between Osama and Sadam? The same government that said Iraq had WMD and we know where they are?

Not when I read in the liberal news that the leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq and the "President" of Iran have both commended the Americans for having voted in the Democrats. Kind of makes it look like the Democrats and the terrorists are all working from the same page. "Let's see just how weak we can make America..." The Democrats and their mindless litany scare me more than just about anything else. I REALLY have to wonder if they ever really think anything through all of the way.

He was indicted. The indictment still stands.
He LIED about his treatment in a South Carolina Navy Brig.
This person is a liar, he hates his own country, & he tried to detonate a "Dirty Bomb."
I hope he never gets out of jail.

It's amazing that the republicans have allowed our rights to deteriorate to the point that all you have to do is accuse someone of a certain crime and they lose their rights. Whether or not he did anything wrong, if we don't respect our own democracy, then the terrorists have won a battle bigger than they could have achieved with the dirtiest bomb.
