Well its necessary because he came to die for our sins so that we could go to heaven and you can't have death without birth. To many religions its very "necessary."

to the point--to bridge the chasm between sinful humankind and Prefect God. Through the virgin birth, the Perfect God-man was concieved of the Virgin Mary and born into the world.
Christmas is the traditional, now nearly 2,000 year old tradition of celebrating Christ's birth. As of late, many subcategories of groups have attempted to wage war against this important holiday, but Christ, His Birth, and all that it represents is at once the greatest promise to all the world. Reinventing the Bible, reinventing the Christmas season dose nothing for the world, nor does it honor diversity in the true sense of the word, nor God himself can not be honored when Christ is not at the center of things.

I think Jesus' birth was necessary to give us a sacrificial gift of acceptance and to give us someone who would ultimately pay the price for our sins by taking on death so that we might have life. I think the gift of Jesus is how we get presents at Christmas, because Jesus was the ultimate gift to humanity. Does this make sence???

We have learned that although the human race is intelligent, it is also very gullable and the majority fall for a Bible that reads like something from Star Trek, so much so that they brainwash their kids and murder millions through wars, terrorism etc. maybe were too smart, maybe we should just ask ourselves how we can believe that crap in the Bible

That we get presents!! Thanks Jesus. Not that I believe in anything that was written about you a century after you were supposed to have lived! But who cares, it's about presents for everybody nowadays. I'm pretty sure nobody celebrates it for religious reasons anymore. Lets face it, do you really believe that any human being would die for the sake of 'man'? A loved one, yes. But for 'everyone'?? It's very far fetched don't you think? I teach my kids it's a fairytale like Cinderella.
