Try a baby name search site, like the one listed below. You can set them to only give you boy names, plus you can search by meaning, nationality of origin, length, etc. If your character is British and heroic, for instance, the names 'Garrick' and 'Finley' show up. If he's German and a leader, his name could be 'Emory.' Experiment with different meaning combinations until you get a name you like.
