ok I made a dvd using a dvr and when I try to play it on my dvd player it says "you need to change it to a different mode" or something, does anyone know hiow to do this?

I set it up correctly, this guy at my church showed me how to do it, but IU forgot, and he left, and I know my player will play it

I finalized it, that has nothing to do with this, what mode does my DVD player need to be in and how do i get it to that mode?

You need to finalize the disc in order for the player to recognize it.

Ted's right, you will need to finalize the disc before playing it on another dvd player.

some dvd players wont play burned dvds... but also when you rip the dvds on your computer you have to set it up so they are playable through your burning program
