Any psychological horror film, like Silence of the Lambs. I think that kind of film is SO much scarier than a lot of the gory crap out today!

what scares me the most is when horror films do something memorable that could actually happen. Then everytime your in the same situation as the character you'll think of that movie and what happened to that character and get paranoid. It scares me more then anything

An indivdual's knowledge itself , that he/she is going to watch a horror movie triggers the command to the brain quite earlier before, command to watch out and be active bcoz it a horror movie which we are gonna watch this command creates more consciousness,,,, and sudden high rise in more consciousness is scary in itself. Aslo, relativity works on its parts concerning the persons life time experience while the screen is running

Evil clowns have always scared me. Other things that get to me are self-mutilation and movies where it could actually happen - like in Saw and Hostel. And of course, there's always the movies with the twists at the end - like Frailty.

The part where you know that the killer should be dead (should be), but isn't and the victim doesn't get the gun/knife and then looks at the killer and the killer has gone. You absolutely expect this and that is very frightening for me, knowing that even though you know it, you might not react rationally if you were in this situation (like the actor doesn't) and that this might end in them getting killed. Life and death decision gone wrong I guess.
