Try getting a lightly used one from a store. Or, the internet is always good, although i bnought one on the net and all i got was the outer part of the computer. The insides were stripped out.

If you get a cheap laptop it will not have all the software on it, it might not even have windows, so just save your money because the words cheap and good don't go together.

Ebay, they get very cheap there.
But they have some good quality things just keep in mind, if you buy something cheap, it will be cheap, break sooner and all that. If you spend good, it'll last a long time.

the cheapest place that I know of would be Ebay. There you can get a used one, I have seen laptops going for less than 200 dollars. Good luck

ebay is good. But I found out that local markets are often quite good too. oh and very occasionally, people give them away for free at gumtree.com in the freebies section. I would look after christmas when all the unwanted gifts are being handed out. But its usually collection only! Good luck!

Dell have some great value for money and good offers (watch the papers) but nothing is ever cheap...
