a little monkey stuck between two panes of glass. First of all the panes of glass - one was the subconscious, the hidden, the dream world. The other pane of glass your real world, the conscious, aware state. The monkey trapped inbetween is a worry or a problem that has been trying to cross over from the subconscious to the conscious level, because it's demanding to be noticed and/or resolved. The fact the monkey was squashed means you prevented it from crossing that barrier because you are firghtened to confront something and would prefer to keep it buried.
It was presented to you again using a different scenario, something is really biting you and you dont want to face it and keep suppressing it. At the same time it's eating you up that you're not allowing yourself to deal with a grievance or problem. You'd like to but are afraid you wont be able to handle it.
If you let it communicate with you you might be able to put closure on something, just dont be afraid, cos it's eating at you, and will keep trying to make it to the conscious level, to be out in the open.

Monkey Dream Meaning
Psychological Meaning: Monkeys represent your playful, mischievous side. You may feel that your dream expresses a need to be fun loving and to stop taking life so seriously. Monkeys can also represent an immature attitude or repressed sexuality.
You need to find some inner peace, try meditation.

I can appreciate why you would find your dreams unsettling. Try omitting the mustard on your sandwiches. Usually dreams are connected to diet. If they are not, then it is simply your brain doing some major housecleaning, because it is through with things like monkeys and aggression and things that upset you. Remember also that most of the time, the way we are feeling is directly connected to what we ate four hours ago.

It could be that you are scared of something, or are trying to escape something. We cannot dream what we have not experienced, read about, or seen etc. Our subconscious tries to make sense of any thoughts stored in our brain. perhaps a particular meal can aggravate things also.

Ah, so. You are leaving us to guess as to What your question is then.
'Does anyone know about dreams?'
Yes, I know about them, and jolly weird / uncomfortable they can be too. But if you mean, 'does anyone know what they MEAN?' Well, there may be some soul who has the definitive answer to this, but we don't know who s/he is.
I believe that 'answers' as to what dreams mean are often subjective ~ as in, 'What significance does a white horse have for you,' or 'yellow frogs,' and so on.

Yes dreams are your unconsciousness, what you would be thinking if you were awake except it may seem odd because you have no control over it your unconsciousness. Here is a link on dreams, good luck! :)
