i'm always up to another Rocky movie. i'm always watching the other five. i have plans on going to see Rocky Balboa (i'll call in sick to work just to see it if i have to).
i'm just wondering why so many people criticize Sly for his want to make another Rocky movie.
if there are many Superman movies, many Star Wars, about six Batman movies. if they have the ability to have those come out, and still be good, why can't Sly have his Rocky movie?

The just saw the new Rocky last night and I thought it was by far one of the best movies this year. It was written and preformed well by the actors. It's one of those movies that you feel like your are a part of the story. During the main fight everyone in the theather was cheer and rooting for Rocky. It was so much fun just being there with a group of people you don't know and cheering for a fight that you think is real. I can understand people why people said he shouldn't make it but you have to see this movie to understand that it doesn't matter how old he is, if he can still pull it off and make it look good then more power to him. Even in the move you can see in his eyes he knows that he is getting to old to do this put he made it and it was great. Is a must see movie.

I think that the main reasons are that there's been so much time since the last Rocky movie (16 years). Also, each film did a little worse at box office, with number 5 being a huge disappointment. Many people would question why he'd still make another movie after the last one didn't do well.

Unrealistic-- he's like 60 or something.
Sly hasn't done JACK SH*T for a long time, and he's using Rocky to reclaim his fame?
Rocky 5 sucked.. why should 6 be any better?

This movie is about Rocky getting old.. I don't want Rocky to get old.. we would like Rocky to remain in our memories as a young, hot, butterfly stinging like a bee. Not an old man with Arthritis.

You can please all of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time. And ususually I find that the more the movie is put down/critisized the better it actually is.
could be that those that can do and those that can't critisize......
personally I think its great that he is still working and taking matters into his own hands (previously he wrote the screenplay cannot imagine he left this one to someone else though I don't know for sure) more women in the industry need to do that instead whining how hard it is to get get parts at their age (bet I get some flack for that statement but its true)

He's too old to play that role. He can play other movies that would be complimentary to his age, but damn, it's time to give up the Rocky role. It's time to give someone else a shot at having the lime light. That's like telling someone who is 40 years old to play a teen role movie. It just doesn't work!

A senior citizen boxing? Pleeease! At least with the other movies you mention, they change the actor with the times - Batman, Star Wars, etc....... Sly should be a gruff old trainer by now.

Yes, he'll be participating in the Senior Boxing Federation, taking on George Foreman for a chance to face Larry Holmes for the title. None of the fighters will have to wear a mouth guard, just take their teeth out before the bout. It'll be coming out the weekend before Die Hard 5: Just Die Already

its not the fact that there are other rocky movies, its the fact that sylvester stallone is like 60, and hes too old to be believable as a big tough guy boxer

I like rocky movies everyone is too critcal of movies I think it will be great
I also they should redo childern of the corn and flowers in the attic like the way its suppose to be done.
