You could pick an era, particular battle, etc. and play pictionary on the chalk board.

How about re deciding an historic event in court during the time of..... having a judge, lawyers, witnesses and a jury (the rest of the class) to decide the outcome

Do a "Family Feud" type game with the class divided into two, and have 5 reps. from each side face off with each other. It would be fun because each rep. could confer with their group for a final answer.....

Twenty questions.. The class will try to identify a person, place or event by you giving them hints, one at a time and the class shouting out answers. You continue to give hints until someone comes up with the correct answer.

At my school, a lot of the World Studies teachers did a recreation of the WW fights.

Students got to reassemble the desks and use them as trenches to hide under while the students bombarded each other with paper balls.

A lot of my friends really enjoyed that.

Also, to study for reviews, we would divide the class into three groups and play Jeopardy. The stapler was the button.

Needless to say it didn't last very long.
