(after glass has been cleaned with windex, etc, streaks remain and it takes a lot of hard rubbing to remove. Is there another way to remove those streaks?)

You are using too much and also not rubbing it out well enough. The streaks you see are cleaner that has dried on there. Don't over spray, you just need a bit. if you need more in certain areas, you can always use it in that area.

The truth is you need streak-free. It is made with 1/2 tsp of witch hazel and a quart of water. Put it in a spray bottle and use it just like windex on windows, mirrors, chrome, etc.

Absolutely! The best window cleaner is water, white vinegar and newspaper (this is an old trick). Add about 1/2 cup vinegar to 3 litres (quarts) of water. Wash your window with a cloth, then wipe clean with newspaper. You will be so stunned at the results of this method that you'll never buy window cleaner again~ guaranteed!

I use a mixture of 2 parts water, 1 part vinegar and 1 part rubbing alcohol in a spray. I don't like using newspaper.... I use 100% cotton cloths....flour sack kitchen towels or old t-shirts. The witch hazel solution sounds interesting....I'm going to try that one.
