She is a commedian, but also has her own talk show in the US. She also provided the voice of Dory in Finding Nemo. She was the first female commedian who was asked to talk to Johnny Carson (which made her famous). She had two television series before she started her talk show, which is hugely popular. Her television show was the first to have a lead character as a lesbian - after which is was promptly cancelled. She has written two books, "My Point... And I Do Have One", a New York Times bestseller for six months, and "The Funny Thing Is...", also a New York Times bestseller. She is hilarious, and one of the most entertaining people in the business. If you can grab one of her HBO specials on DVD it is worth a look.

Check out Harrison Ford´s "Seven Days, Seven Nights" or McCounaghey´s "Ed TV" and you will see her...she is a cool comediant, a couple of years ago she became very famous when she declared she was a lesbian, then, all that got into nothing and Ellen started her own TV Show and well, celebrities go there and Ellen with her sense of humour interviews them.

Um yeah Ellen Degeneres is a comieden. She has her own talk show too. I like her she is very funny. You honestly don't know who she is???

she had a funny sitcom on prime time
but when her and her character were gay
the show was canceled and the show was really funny!
