How come people are always saying, Past, Present, and Future?

There is no present, I could say the present is now, but 1 second later the time would pass and that would be in the past.
I believe in this world there is only Past and Future.

If there is now there is present. you could also be speaking of a general time frame such as today, or "at the present time," or in this day as opposed to 100 years ago.

Imagine time as a 10 mile long string, as a timeline. A point on the line represents the present, but the point keeps moving forward. So there is a present time; it's just that it is alwaysmoving forward.

The present goes by too fast I guess becuase if there is no present there would be no future right? Even though the present is gone in a zip it does exist dosen't it? Or do u believe that the future will just become the past skipping the stage of being present?

The present is defined by the past and the future merging at one point. The present is only an illusion like time itself. Humanity only created time to help define it's world. The memories we hold our not only from the past, but also from the future. After all, without both we wouldn't exist.

There is a present. It only exists for a moment but it's the moment we currently live in. And even though it's only with us for a moment, it's the most important phase out of the three because it's the only one within our power. We can't change our past or our future but we can control our actions in the present moment.

Of course there is a "present"! It is the membrane between the past & the future; without a "present", past & future would have no meaning!

Technically, no, but... Since time is a string that encompasses the past, "present", and future, it is all connected and only made real by our perception of what is happening. I feel there is a present, therefore, there is.

great! you are getting closer to the truth, which is there is no past or future but only present. you shouldn't say: now. say: n n n n n n, whenever you say:n it's present. time is not real, it's something we invented, that's why scientists are no longer speaking about it except as a fourth dimension to the place.

You can't live in the past and you can't live in the future, so I'm thinking we can only live in the present.

2 days ago yesterday was future. Yesterday today was future. Today tomorrow is future. It's all the same. Time doesn't exist.
