He was so over-shadowed by Reggie Bush coming into the NFL Draft, post draft reports claimed that the Titans made a mistake by signing him, ESPN analyst claimed that his abilities were not of NFL level of play, said he was only effective with his feet and couldn't take the ball under center but only thru shot-gun sets.
Since he became the starting QB, Vince Young has thrilled fans and coaches and has surprised analyst and opposing defences. He has risen to the call and given the Titans a boost and a chance to make a wildcard entry to the playoffs.
Vince Young is the Rookie of the year hands down.

I think Vince Young will be offensive rookie of the year. Voters favor QB or RB if one plays any significant time and Young has done better than anyone could have expected so although Colston had a great season I think the voters will go with Young. Defensive rookie likely will be Ernie Sims. He is the only bright spot on the Lions team and has played exceptionally well and again the voters like LB for defensive rookie voting. Plus he has more highlight film hits and that sways voters too.

Vince Young seems to have the inside track because the wins he has pulled out with the two games Marques Colston missed. Devin Hester has been impressive, but because he has been playing on special teams almost exlusively, it doesn't sound like he has any chance at winning. Another impressive rookie (the pick of one of ESPN's football people) is San Diego's OL Marcus McNeal.
Mark Anderson and DeMeco Ryans are two of my choices for Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Vince Young. He is by far the Rookie of the year.
Other good rookies, Colston, but your right - since missing those two games, he came back and hasn't done much.
Then Bush, then the RB from UCLA on Jac., then the Kick-Return man from the Bears.

Vince Young. He should get Rookie of the Year, because he did so much for the Titans this year? If you watched the Giants vs Titans game, you'll know what I am talking about. Because of V. Young, the Titans came back in the fourth quarter of a 0-21 game to get 3 touchdowns and a FG to win the game. You got to admit, that is AMAZING.

I liked Colston but hes fallen off due to being injuried. The most underrated one is definietly Maurice Jones Drew. Hes a beast. VY was my favorite college player of all time, but i think hester should win it because he did set a NFL record in his rookie season.
