And the British Government want you to sign up for the armed forces to fight the Nazis, which would you sign up for out of The British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force or Royal Marines?

I personally would join the British army and proudly fight alongside my grandfather in the Desert rats.

And if you are an American answering this, you must give a valid answer and NOT say "I wouldn't join any of them, at this point we're not involved!"

Question is open to both males and females!

Let me point out that there is no such thing as a bad answer here, unless you are called saorsie, and are intent on insulting our national armed forces!

The Royal Navy because i am not an aggressive person to join The Marines or The Army and i am scared of flying!

So The Navy is a bit of a wimpy choice but i would still be doing my bit to fight the Nazis.

I'd join the British army and take part in the B.E.F like my grandfather did, I'd even join his regiment, like yourself, I;d be proud to fight side by side with my grandfather. When I was younger he told me that not only was he a veteran of the Dunkirk Evacquation, he was also a Veteran of the D-Day landings on Sword Beech.

Whichever arm of The Forces you joined you`d go where you were sent - you wouldn`t have a choice.
Not only that ,unless you could also change your age too your posting is not your only problem.
Myself being older than I guess most of the other posters would not be conscripted or be allowed to volunteer for active duty.
Therefore - "Don`t panic!" Look out Capt. George Mainwaring there`s a new sheriff in town LOL.

basic issues does no longer be not undemanding to discern out. Nor may issues previous basic. extraordinarily considering that human beings in the present day have a sturdy carry close on technologies. I propose take a dedicated trekkie 500 years into the destiny and he may be like a baby in a sweet shop. Take a marginally intelligent engineer or someone and they could be in love. at the same time as human beings assume destiny technologies, its in many cases alongside the traces of a few thing that isn't to this point off to what all of us recognize already. little doubt human beings idea-about the idea of a cellular telephone no longer lengthy after the first telephone. It merely took a lot more beneficial steps and time. Like how flying autos were "the destiny " in idea for a lengthy time period. also, we assume in accordance with ideas that are time-honored yet no longer completely understood. Like flying. Da Vinci drew up plans for a helicopter yet truly he wasn't the first with that concept. Its the technologies that comes from technologies already in lifestyles that we do not assume. inspect television or the internet. those may freak out human beings contained in the previous the position as a plane or motor vehicle does no longer. As a lot besides. and rather, what new technologies ought to we arise with that we've not considered in videos or examine in books, some thing that few if any human beings may be able to foretell? If the destiny has ideas examining machines cyborgs spaceships and teleport pads, we will be surprised yet no longer shocked. We wont develop into afraid and make contact with it magic the way someone from 500 years in the past may see our international in the present day. Watch a small baby use a effortless pc drawing application after merely attempting it once. Say a 5 twelve months previous. infrequently knowledgeable in what the international rather has. that kid will use it and luxuriate in it. yet 40 years in the past that particular same pc may of blown away the minds of rather intelligent medical human beings. 80 years in the past it could be a secret locked up and studied by technique of the authorities, calling contained in the finished minds contained in the sphere. three hundred years in the past it could be seen magic and perchance a handful of human beings ought to carry close what it develop into. we are getting used to technologies. i believe the age of being very shocked by technique of technologies is almost over.

I would join SOE if they would have me and spend the war behind enemy lines helping the resistance movements and arranging escape routes for POW's. I would cause as much chaos for the Nazi's as possible before inevitably getting caught by the Gestapo and tortured like so many brave british agents whose names are never remembered but without them and the intelligence they provided we may not of won.

Even though my grandfather bravely fought in North Africa and then to Italy, I would have to say the Air Force because I have always wanted to fly and it would be fun to shoot people down the bad guys and bomb the bad guys.

Having been born in late 1940, it would cause me a paradox. However, if I was old enough - for the sake of argument - I would join the Royal Air Force with my father and look after him. He broke his neck in 1943.........................
